Burpees for Mady

Support the Cotta family! Please donate to help support Mady and her family as they endure some tough times. As many of you know, Mady was hospitalized at Chidren’s Hospital for Staph Pneumonia. She spent several days in a drug induced coma and close to a week in critical condition. Mady has been making a remarkable recovery but still has a long road ahead of her. Mady’s mom Julie is a member of our gym and Mady is looking forward to joining our CrossFit Kids program in the future.

If you donate to the link, please drop a slip off at the gym with the dollar amount so that we can keep track of the money raised. If you would like to join in on May 26th, you can assemble a team and complete the burpees as a team or you can do them individually.

Please help in any way that you can and remember that burpees suck but fighting for life is much worse!

Green Beer and Burpees!

SUNDAY MARCH 17TH 11AM-4PM

Celebrate St. Patrick’s Day CrossFit style! We will be getting together Sunday the 17th for an afternoon of green beer, burpees, and lots of fun (don’t worry, you won’t be required to drink green beer). We will kick the afternoon off with a repeat of the CrossFit Games Open workout 13.2 and then stay after for some meet and greet with food and drinks. We will also be having some friendly competitions and chances to win some prizes. So stop on by and hang out with other members without having to workout! If you don’t want to do the workout, show up and cheer the others on.

11am- CrossFit Games Open workout 13.2
12pm – 4pm- Food and fun

We will have green beer and snacks available. If you plan on attending and would like to bring any more drinks and food, that would be greatly appreciated. Hope to see everyone there!

1st Annual Halloween Showdown

$10 Entry Fee 

Join us for our first ever Halloween Showdown. Head to head style competition. Competitors will be chosen randomly to spin the “Wheel of death” and compete in whatever workout the wheel lands on. Winner will move on and the loser is eliminated. There will be prizes for both men and women. Come dressed up in your favorite Halloween workout costume and have a good time with some good people. Food and refreshments will be served.

Back to School Special

September 5th, 2012

With school back in session, now is the perfect time to get into a new routine. To kick off our back to school challenge, we will be offering our 5 session punch card for only $20 to all new members. If you’ve thought about starting or know someone who would like to but you’re not quite sure about the commitment, our 5 session punch card is the perfect introduction to CrossFit. We will be running a clean eating challenge from September 8th through October 13th so come on in and get started now.

*$20 punch card is for first time customers only and must be used at the Lite class for the first session
**promotion will run through the end of September

Updated schedule

August 31st, 2012

Starting 9-4-12 we will be implementing a new schedule. We will be adding a lite class to Tuesday and Thursday evenings at 530pm. The lite class is designed to be three days a week so we will be keeping the Tuesday lite class the same as Monday, and the Thursday lite class the same as Friday. In other words, if you show up Monday and Tuesday, you will be doing the same workout.  Also, Tuesday and Thursday mornings at 1030am will be open gym. Utilize this time to work on weaknesses, do a recovery workout, makeup a workout that you missed, or just hang out and have some fun. The new schedule will look like this:

530am- CrossFit
930am- CrossFit
1030am- CrossFit Lite
530pm- CrossFit Lite
630pm- CrossFit

Tuesday and Thursday:

530am- CrossFit
930am- CrossFit
1030am- Open Gym

930am- CrossFit/Team Workout

New CrossFit Lite Class

The new CrossFit Lite class will be held on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays at 1030 am and 530 pm. This class is for all newcomers and anyone looking to get a great workout without as much volume as the regular CrossFit class. The focus of this class will be in depth instruction on all of the functional movements that we use in our CrossFit classes. Each class will begin with instruction on a particular movement that we will be using in our workout that day. We will then workout as a group and finish off with some mobility and stretching. This class may be called Lite, but it is still very challenging. CrossFit Lite will benefit everyone from the first timer to the experienced CrossFitter.
